The image is centered around a white picket fence with a small white dog and a white doghouse with a dark roof in the foreground. The dog is barking. Just behind the picket fence stands five boys, all in uniform. There is significant variance in the boy's heights. The uniform is a black long sleeve shirt with metal buttons and black pants with a white sash going from the right shoulder to the left hip. Additionally, each boy wears a hat with a small metallic object on it. None of the boys are smiling. Behind the boys a train is beginning to pass, its windows very distinctly higher than the boys heads. The train is slightly blurred, indicating that it is in motion.
This image is serving to show the reasons why the boys have a significant amount of unease about going to school. None of the boys are smiling, and the Yoshi brothers have already made enemies with the group of boys. This scene seems to indicate the safety within the Yoshi's home versus the hostility that waits just beyond it's gate.
